An Elevated Wedding at the University Club of Chicago
Blair and Jonathan had one clear objective: walk their guests into a room that stopped them in their tracks.
Cathedral Hall at the University Club of Chicago is already one of the most architecturally striking spaces in the city. The opportunity was in making it feel warm, layered, and alive, and Blair’s vision did exactly that.
The ceremony set the tone from the first step. Candlelight lined the aisle from end to end, and dramatic floral trees flanked both the entrance and the altar, transforming the hall into something ceremonial and intimate all at once.
While guests moved through cocktail hour, we got to work. By the time the doors opened for dinner, Cathedral Hall was unrecognizable in the best possible way. Mirrored tables, velvet linens, and towering greenery created depth and richness throughout the room. The floral trees from the ceremony found new life as centerpieces. Crystal candles were everywhere, on tables, at the bar, along the band front, casting a warm flickering glow across every surface. Custom bars and a candlelit band front made sure the atmosphere carried into every corner.
Blair, Jonathan, and their families were speechless. Their guests weren’t far behind.
